Fun at the Lake...

Yesterday I met my friend Daisha and her four kids down at Lake Anna State Park in Spotslyvania. It's about 1.5 hours south and it's the perfect place for kids! Great sandy beach, warm shallow water, playgroud, etc. When we got there it was 75 degrees and pouring down rain. Daisha and I were like...well, we drove this far let's make it worth it. They all played in the rain (with the awful humidity out here it actually wasn't that cold) for about half hour while Daisha and I tried to keep everything dry under the umbrella. Then the skies cleared, sun came out, and it was gorgeous and hot the rest of the day. Jackson and Josh had so much fun playing with Dominic and Macie. Tyce had fun eating sand and trying to put all the dirty sandy stuff into my bag of clean clothes. He got very tired and fussy so I ended up holding him most of the afternoon, but it was worth it seeing how much fun the twins were having. Plus, I got to hang out with Daisha! We've been friends since kindergarten and it's still weird to me that we both ended up out here. Anyways, it was a great day!!!! =)

Unfortunately, I was a little late on the sunscreen application so Jackson and Josh's shoulders got a little burned. Hopefully they heal fast though.

Campout and the Scary Spider...

Last night Parker wanted to do a campout with the boys (which means making a fort in our basement). They had lots of fun, as always, but didn't sleep well so they were NOT good boys in church today! Needless to say, they're still napping! Here are some pics from their fun night...

Haha, this is what you do when you don't have a tent...In other news...the other day I was in the family room with Tyce and Jackson and Josh walks in with a huge hole in his jammie bottoms. I asked what happened. "Well a big scary spider crawled up my leg and ripped a hole in my pants! But I killed him mommy." I said, "Joshy is that the truth?" He says, "yes mommy." So then I walk into the office to find this...

The little punk had CUT a hole in his pants and then lied about it. He got sent to his room for a long time then was given a second chance to tell the truth. He finally did admit he cut his pants and said sorry. Ah can I really handle this for 14 more years? Haha!

Rainbow Toast...

I got this cute idea from my friend Daisha's blog (http://thefamilyscientista.blogspot.com/) to make rainbow toast so we did it this morning. The boys were so excited. It's so easy to please them at this age, I dread the day when that ends. Anyways...here they are painting their toast...

Nothing else all that exciting going on. Diet is going strong, but getting harder. I am really missing normal food.

Diet Update Week 4

Here are my results for week 4:

*Lost 3 pounds
*Lost .5 inches off my waist
*Lost 0 inches off my hips.

I am pretty happy with my results this week. I worked really hard to be done eating by 7:30 or 8:00pm and I think that helped. I have decided I am going to finish my diet a week early so I have 7 weeks left and will be done on my birthday! Yay! That way I won't be on it when I go on our girly girl's retreat. I've lost 12 pounds and would like to lose another 9. Wish me luck! Thanks for all the encouragements! I need them!

Fun at the Waterpark...

Today was a fun day, Jadeh babysat Tyce for me so I could take Jackson and Josh to this cute little waterpark right by our house. They had SO much fun and could've probably played another couple hours. However, it is now 5:30 and Jack is passed out on the couch. They are tired boys! Here are some pics from the day...

Cute boys! It is so fun spending time with them and being able to give them my undivided attention. They are growing up too fast, I really really want to freeze time.

Fourth of July Fun...

We had a fun day on Sunday celebrating the 4th of July. We went to church, then went to a bbq at our friends' house, then went to watch the city fireworks with some other friends. The boys had tons of fun and were sure tired when we finally got home!

Tyce was actually an angel, which was surprising because it was two hours past his bedtime...

Diet Update Week 3

Here are my results this week:

*Gained 1/2 a pound
*Lost 0 inches off my waist
*Lost 1 inch off my hips

I am disappointed and frustrated because I still have not cheated at all and I GAINED weight. Ya ya, it's probably muscle but I'm still bummed. However, I am just now even more motivated to work that much harder this week! Wish me luck!

Fun with Uncle Shane...

Parker's brother Shane came out to visit today on his way down to Georgia and we had a little bbq (course I ate my cottage cheese, wheat crackers, and veggies while they ate yummy food). The boys love their Uncle Shane so much and had fun with him.

Tycee actually loved Shane but got fussy right when I went to take a picture... Cuteness...

It was a fun night! Tomorrow we're going to a bbq at a friend's house and then we're heading down to Old Town Manassas to watch fireworks! Pics to come!
