Preschool Christmas Program

Today was the twins' preschool Christmas program and party. They were shepards and they sang so loud and so cute.

Here's Josh walking down the aisle with his sheep... Cutest little shepards I've ever seen...
Then we went to their classroom to decorate gingerbread houses and have pizza...

After the party they got to play for a little bit with their friends. It's interesting to watch them interact with their teacher and their classmates. Mrs. Morton says that Jackson has never thrown a fit or had any OCD tendencies in class. This surprised me. At home, he has melt downs a couple times a day. I'm very glad to hear he keeps it under control at school. They start doing testing in January so it will be interesting to see where they're at.

The boys are super excited for Christmas, as am I. I love seeing their sweet little excited faces when they open their presents!!! :) Merry Christmas everyone!!!

SNOW!!!

Today was the first snow of the winter season. Apparently it doesn't snow often out here (with the exception of the hugest storm ever last year) so we didn't waste any time! My parents had gotten each of the boys a new pair of nice warm snow boots for Christmas and I let them open them today so they could use them! Thanks mom and dad! I picked the boys up from preschool and they were SO excited to play in the snow. They've been out there for over an hour and are having a blast filling buckets with snow using the shovel and making snow castles.

Making snow angels..
Tyce's first time walking in snow, he liked it for a few minutes...Then decided he hated it. He hung out in the trunk of the van and watched his brothers...Joshy loved using the snow shovel...Cute guys...Jack loved eating the snow...

Now they're inside drinking hot chocolate and watching Curious George while Tyce naps!

Fun with My Parents Part 2...

My parents left bright and early this morning, I'm missing them so much already. We had a great week with them and were sad to see them go. It was fun having them here around Christmas time because we were able to do lots of Christmas type stuff. Tuesday my parents picked the twins up from preschool and took them to Great Wolf Lodge overnight. It's a hotel with a big waterpark inside it. My dad got some cute pics but I'm having a hard time getting them off his camera so that post is to come later.

Thursday we took the boys to House of Bounce. Jackson and Josh had SO much fun, and could've easily played there all day. Tyce was too small for everything so he was kinda whiney and very tired. My mom got us a pass to go back 10 times so I think I'll get a sitter for Tyce next time.
Thursday night we went to the Bull Run Festival of Lights. First we drove through the park and looked at the light display then we stopped at the little carnival. Jack has been begging daddy to go on a ferris wheel for weeks and we were happy to see that they had one there! They had so much fun on the rides. It was quite cold but there was hardley anyone there. The ride operators gave them quite a few free rides because they were so cute. :)
Waiting for the ferris wheel...Daddy and Jack on the ferris wheel...Mommy and Josh on the ferris wheel (quite the sacrifice for me to go on with him because I HATE ferris wheels)...Jack and Josh owned the Dragon Wagon, haha...Grandpa took care of Tycee and made sure he stayed warm...Friday we got a babysitter for the kids and the adults went up to the Washington DC temple and looked at the lights, did sealings, and went out to dinner. It was a really nice night to spend time together away from the kids.

Saturday we took the boys on the VRE (Virginia Railway Express) train ride with Santa. It was an hour ride and Santa came to visit. They also had a college choir singing Christmas songs. It was fun, the boys loved it. They each got a conductor's hat...Saturday night we went to the Manassas Park city parade! Haha, it was kinda lame but the boys really enjoyed it...

Gosh I'm exhausted again just thinking about all we did! We also stayed up late every night talking, eating, and playing games. That's what Barracloughs do! And I love it! Thanks SO much mom and dad for a WONDERFUL week!!! The sad thing is? I have no visitors lined up next! I am HOPING Michelle and Tegan come out in March!? Come on people, come visit!!! :)

Jackson Blayne...

Last Saturday Parker was out in the garage washing the car and there was a bucket of water in the garage. Parker asked the twins to not touch it. He came back a few minutes later and noticed the bucket was empty.

Parker: "Did you guys dump the water out?"
Twins: Silence
Parker: "Did you dump the water in the garage or outside?"
Jackson: "Well, will we be in trouble if we dumped it in the garage or outside?"

Haha, I love his innocence.

My parents are gone, I'm sad. I'll post soon about the rest of our week with them.

Fun with My Parents!!!

So my parents have only been here 2 days and we already have tons of pics so I figured I'll do a post every couple of days. We have lots of fun stuff planned for the week so, be prepared! Lots of pics! I'm so happy to have them here and the boys are just loving them.

Cute Tyceroo... Grandma reading them their favorite books that she brought from her house...
We decorated the Christmas tree Sunday night...Haha, anyone that knows me knows that Josh is DEFINITELY a mommy's boy :)Cute Jack...They have loved playing Nemo Go Fish with grandma and grandpa, it is such a cute game and brings back so many memories of playing it with my niece Abbi when she was younger, it made me miss her so much!!!My parents brought lots of presents for everyone so they got to put them under the tree...Tyce got the hang of it pretty fast...These are the boxes that my parents brought the presents in on the airplane, they made it into a train and had SO much fun! Jackson kept saying, "ON THE BOARD" instead of all aboard, haha. They also watched Polar Express from their boxes. The finished product...Cute guys..Today we went and saw Santa at the mall. Josh was the biggest wuss ever. Jackson was fine. Tyce was fine as long as he sat on my lap. Jack and Josh both asked for a big orange T-Rex!

Tomorrow my parents leave for Williamsburg with the twins to take them to Great Wolf Lodge for 2 days. They'll have so much fun! My wonderful friend Tracy is watching Tyce on Wednesday and Parker took the day off so we're gonna spend the day doing our Christmas shopping and enjoy some time together! Yay! More to come...

Tyce is 16 Months!

I haven't posted about Tyce in a while and he just turned 16 months so I thought it would be a good time to do a Tyce update. He loves to talk and will try to say anything I say. His main words are mama, dada, poo poo (sorry Grandma Bybee), packpack, kitty, uh oh, wow, cheese, ball, banana, stuck, and roaring like a lion. He is a GREAT sleeper. He sleeps 7:30pm to about 8:00am and is so easy to put down. He also takes a good 2-3 hour nap during the day and, again, so easy to put down. I'm loving it because my twins were NEVER easy to put down. He is a terrible eater. Not only is he picky but he takes two bites then wants to get down and walk around, then come back for bites when he feels like it. Very annoying. He'd love to snack on string cheese and pretzels all day if I let him. He loves his tubs in the mornings with his brothers, but hates being dried off with a towel. He loves going to the gym playplace everyday. Every morning when I say it's time to leave for preschool Tyce goes and gets Jackson and Josh's backpacks and brings them to them. I think it's cute how he knows which one goes to which boy. He wakes up really happy from his naps and in the morning. He has turned into very much of a mommy's boy, which is frustrating. He does fine once I'm gone, but if I'm there...he's attached to me. Tyce gets very upset when he does not get his way, he pouts and throws fits which is hilarious. He loves to turn the TV on and off and to sneak markers and pens from my drawer, write on a wall, then bring it to me and say "UH OH." He loves to read and could probably read all day. He picks a book, then backs into your lap. Haha, it cracks me up. He loves and adores his older brothers. He loves playing with them and watching them play. He is a very moody baby. He goes days and weeks where he whines all day, literally. Then he goes a while where he's Mr. Happy. Those are my favorite days. :) Tyce loves to wave to people and get attention from them. At Walmart he waves to every single person he sees and his face lights up when someone responds back to him. He loves to wrestle with daddy and loves being chased around the house. He still adores Brody and loves to cover him up with his la la (white burp cloth). He thinks it's hilarious. Brody is such a tolerant cat. Well, I think that's about it. I love my Tycee, it is so fun watching him learn and develop. I think he's my last child so I'm really trying to enjoy every day with him as he grows up so fast!

I grabbed a couple of pics of him today...
P.S. MY PARENTS COME IN 2 DAYS!!! WE'RE ALL SO EXCITED!!!
