Visitors Part 3

Monday I excused the twins from school and we headed up to Baltimore to the National Aquarium. The boys were really excited for the dolpin show and the sharks.

Here we are waiting for the dolphin show to start...

After the show we grabbed some lunch, it was funny because we were all done eating and Tyce was still just chowing down! I kept asking him if he was done, "no mommy my STILL EATING!"Cute Tycee ready to do a puppet show...Finding shells in the sand...The aquarium is on the Inner Harbor and it's such a beautiful setting...Grandma let them each pick out a souvenier from the gift shop. Jack chose this adorable penguin, Josh picked out a cute dolphin, and Tyce picked out this turtle with a baby turtle on his back...Running races outside...Looks like Jackson SCHOOLED pregnant Jackie! :)

After the aquarium we drove down to Alexandria to meet Parker and went out to dinner. Later that night Mom, Jackie, Tegan, and I all went to see Hunger Games! We loved it!

Tuesday I dropped them off at the airport which was really hard. I feel so blessed to have the in laws that I do. I love them so much and so wish they could be a part of our daily lives. When we got home Jackson walked into the basement, laid down on the guest bed, and with big tears in his eyes said "I wish they could stay forever." I guess we all feel that way. But thank you so much for coming mom, Jackie, and Tegan!!! And thanks to Jackie's wonderful husband Tyler for stepping up and taking care of the kids while she was gone. Lots of husbands wouldn't do that! Also thanks to Bart for letting his wife and daughter go, I know he missed them. :)

Visitors Part 2

Saturday and Sunday nights were spent reading to the boys.

Tyce and Grandma... Tegan and the twins...

Sunday before church...After church grandma and the twins made rockets...Grandma reading Tyce the new Mickey Mouse book she got for him. Michelle is such an amazing grandma. The boys just adore her and can't get enough of her. She is so unselfish and loving. She plays with them on their level which they just love. It took Tyce about 5 minutes to warm up to her and for the rest of the week it was "gamma do it, gamma take me potty, gamma read me stories, gamma buckle me, gamma gamma gamma." So cute. :) We love you grandma!!Tegan and Joshy. The boys are so lucky to have a young cool auntie like Tegan. She is so much fun and the boys love when she can be goofy with them. She is always thinking of fun things to do with them and never says no to them. They LOVED having her sleep in their room and, when asked what they want to eat or do, a frequent response is "whatever Tegan is having." We love you Auntie Tegan!!!Auntie Jackie and Jackson. The boys didn't know Jackie as well as Tegan and Grandma, just because they see her less and she has her own kids to take care of. It didn't take them long to realize how great she is. Jackie seems to have endless energy, patience, and creativity. In a lot of ways, I wish I could be more like her. Jackson did so well reading his new book from grandma and he was proud when Jackie would praise him for reading big words. We love you Jackie!!Grandma and Tyce on the "ferris wheel" as Tyce calls it, haha...

On Monday we went to the National Aquarium up in Baltimore...that post coming soon!!!

Visitors!

Friday night Michelle, Jackie, and Tegan flew in from Utah to visit!!! It was Tegan's spring break so they flew out to Texas to see Christine and Kai first then flew out here to see us! We have been super excited for them to come. Friday night I picked them up from the airport then we went to the church and watched Parker play basketball.

Saturday morning everyone got up early and headed to DC for sight seeing. I stayed home with the kids because they really slow you down in DC and I wanted everyone to be able to see as much as they possibly could in one day. It sounds like they had tons of fun. I got some pictures off Michelle's phone...

Parker, Tegan, and Jackie...

I love this picture. It was the Cherry Blossom Festival and they were in full bloom!

Parker and Jackie. We were so excited she came out. She has two kids and is pregnant with her third so time alone with her out here was super great. Parker and her were really close growing up so it was fun for them to be able to spend some time together...My gorgeous mother in law...The new Martin Luther King Memorial...
Capitol tour...This is where Parker works...

Saturday night we all went out to dinner then came home and played games! It was a super fun night. They were all soo tired and worn out from walking around DC all day that I think everyone slept well that night! Stay tuned for more!!!

Being a Mommy of Boys

The other day Jackson told me that he likes that I'm the only girl in the family, and he likes that I have pretty long hair and pretty pink toes. Haha, so sweet. Since we have decided that our family is complete, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I will never have a daughter. I grew up with all sisters, have nieces that I adore, and always thought I'd have at least one girl of my own. Apparently, Heavenly Father had a different plan for me!

Being a mommy of all boys means you're extra special. Parker is really good at teaching the boys to respect, love, and appreciate me. The twins hold doors open for me, take the garbage out, kill spiders for me, and thank me for dinner. Tyce thanks me for dinner too, by saying, "thank you for dinner mommy, my no like it, my no want it." Hahahaha. Anyways, I am amazed at the amount of love and affection my boys show me. Jackson will frequently walk up to me and look up at me with his arms up wanting a hug. He is also quick to compliment me on me clothes, hair, or nail polish. Josh has become much more affectionate lately. At nights he just can't seem to get enough hugs and kisses. Tyce is by far my most affectionate child though. He is constantly telling me how much he loves me. He is constantly giving me hugs and kisses. He is constantly making me feel like I am the most special person in the world. Lately he has been falling asleep for naps like this...

I know that I was sent three special sweet spirits because I need that. I thought I would get it through daughters but turns out I am getting it through three BOYS! I also think I was sent boys to teach me that a little dirt, stink, and mess is really ok (although I'm still working on this). I have already learned so much from Jackson, Josh, and Tyce and look forward to watching them grow up into MEN! Weird thought. I also have high hopes that they will all marry girls that want their mother in law in their lives so that I can finally have daughters. :)

This morning the boys thought they looked pretty cute so they asked me to take pictures for my blog, hilarious... Josh insists on tucking his shirt in because he loves his belt...
I think Jack looks like a Morrill here because this is how Bart and Shane wear their hats...

I love my boys and am so lucky that they love me!

Well I'm off to clean because tonight Jackie, Tegan, and Mom come to visit!!! YAY!!!

End of the Season

Jackson and Josh's first basketball season has come to an end. They had lots of fun and really improved, I am so proud of them! Here are some pics from the game last night...

Taking a water break... Joshy, always with the tongue out...

Jack's favorite stance...The cutest little cheerleader, he was always SO good at the games, totally entertained himself and never whined...I love the way Tyce yells, "GO WARRIORS!"
After their game Parker handed out medals for each of them...Coach Parker and Tycee, who had just gotten hit in the head with a basketball (hence the sad look on his face)...

I had so much fun cheering on my boys and I know this is just the beginning of lots and lots and lots of sporting events! I was impressed by how tough Jack and Josh were and how much endurance they had. They were always the first ones sprinting down the court, over and over again (there's a lot of turn overs in 5 year old basketball). Here's to many more years of cheering on my athletes! :)
